Exciting developments are unfolding at Disneyland's Avengers Campus, and fans are buzzing with anticipation! But here's where it gets even more thrilling: the construction of the canopy connecting the two new ride buildings has made remarkable progress, signaling that the expansion is well on its way. And this is the part most people miss—the additional restrooms, a separate building, are also taking shape at an impressive pace, promising much-needed convenience for visitors.
Avengers Campus Expansion: A Closer Look
Since our last update, the canopy has grown significantly, with more framework pieces now in place. Last year, Walt Disney Imagineering revealed that the canopy linking the two highly anticipated attractions—Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab—was officially under assembly. Our reporter confirmed this progress, noting the visible expansion of the structure. A crane spotted during the visit further highlighted the ongoing efforts.
Controversial Design Choice? Concept art suggests the canopy will partially cover the Stark Flight Lab, with a roof added while keeping the white beams exposed. This design choice might spark debate among fans—is it a sleek, modern touch or a missed opportunity for a fully immersive experience? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
Restrooms: A Quick Vertical Rise
The new restrooms have gone vertical and are progressing rapidly. With the permit expiring on April 16, 2026, there’s a chance they could open before the rest of the expansion. Currently, the only restrooms in Avengers Campus are between Pym Test Kitchen and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, making this addition a welcome relief for guests. The nearest alternatives are at Hollywood Backlot or Golden Vine Winery, which can be quite a trek.
Doubling the Fun at Avengers Campus
This expansion will nearly double the size of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure, introducing two new rides alongside fan favorites like Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission BREAKOUT! and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure.
Avengers: Infinity Defense – A Multiverse Adventure
Avengers: Infinity Defense is expected to be a 3D attraction, utilizing a similar system to Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure at Tokyo DisneySea. Guests will join Marvel heroes in a multiverse-jumping battle against King Thanos, an alternate version of the villain who emerged victorious. This ride promises to be a thrilling, immersive experience that will leave fans in awe.
Stark Flight Lab: Taking Flight with Iron Man
The second new ride, Stark Flight Lab, features Robert Downey, Jr. reprising his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man. Guests will board “gyro-kinetic pods” lifted by robotic KUKA arms for a unique “flight test” experience. This innovative attraction is sure to be a hit, blending cutting-edge technology with the charm of the Marvel universe.
